TimeCrafters at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City is taking place this weekend with a selection of the best brands in Swiss watchmaking. It is "The only Swiss Watch show in the Unites States open to the public," (iW) from September 13-15.

A must-experience for watch collectors and connoisseurs, lovers, and admirers alike. Last night after the opening evening, I left with a renewed sense of appreciation and respect for the workmanship, high quality standards, detail, and precision these craftsmen incorporate in the watchmaking creation process. I discovered the Bulgari Gerald Genta Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon a watch that may take as long as 9-12 months to make, by the same watchmaker, from start to finish. The unique style & design of these watches is a must-see.

Meet the brand executives and watchmakers behind the world's most respected brands including Dominique Loiseau, of Girard-Perregaux world renowned, visionary watchmaker and master watch artisan known for remarkable timepieces such as the six Montres de Sables and the Rose de Temps clock in addition to the watchmakers for Audemars Piguet, Zenith, Julien Coudray, Glashutte amongst others.

Don't miss the Blum Collection, the most complete collection of Swatch watches in the world, from Swiss businessman Peter Blum & his wife Linda. They started collecting Swatches from the brand's early days, ranging from standard models to prototypes, hybrids and variations that were never made commercially available as stated by the TimeCrafters publication. This collection was recently sold in auction by Phillips de Pury & Company in Hong Kong - after pre-sale viewings of the collection in London, New York, & Shanghai - and purchased by a Chinese collector for US $6.5 million; 293 pieces from the collection will be available for viewing at the TimeCrafter's Swatch booth.

Don't forget to stop by the interactive traveling theme-based exhibition Think Time-Think Swiss Excellence, presented by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH, showing “the multi-faceted nature of the Swiss watchmaking industry, both past and present, highlighting the history, major innovations and technological advancements of today’s powerful Swiss watchmaking landscape.”

"Generally, watch collectors and connoisseurs, as well as lovers of top-quality haute horologie would normally have to travel to Switzerland to see the finest selection of newest timepieces from the world's watchmakers." You have the opportunity to see it here, in New York City, this weekend until this Saturday, September 15
